60: Here’s a way to earn some extra cash & make a
difference in the life of a child! Foster
Grandparents-help children in schools, pre-school &
other youth programs. You can give boys & girls personal
attention & help with academics-basic reading &
math-children can succeed with your help. Placements
range from 15-40 hours a week. You can receive a modest,
non-taxable stipend, meals & help with transportation.

St. John School Golf Tournament – Volunteers are needed to assist with
the
planning & preparation for this year’s Kevin Mohler &
Joe Roop
Memorial, to be held August 17 at Pumpkin Vine Golf
Course in
Bremen. Please consider helping with the planning &
preparation of food & beverages, contacting local
businesses for
sponsorship, & collecting items for prizes. Call Ed or

volunteer.
Scrip – During the summer months please have your orders
to
the church office Monday by 9am or place in the
collection
basket at Mass in an envelope marked Scrip. Inventory
will still
be available after mass & in the church office. Max & Ermas &
Menards are now open in Lancaster & available to order
from
scrip. Max & Ermas is also available in the inventory.

Summer Lunch starts
June 9th from 6-7pm. If you know of a family with
children who received free or reduced lunches during the
school year they are eligible to pick up food each
Monday through out the summer. If you would like to help
distribute food, please be here at 5:30. Thank you.

Alumni Association, we are searching for current
names and addresses of those who attended, even for a
year or two. Please give the information to the School
Office or to Amy Taulbee.

$10, 4X for $11). Car window stickers that read “Proud
St. John School Family,” “Proud St. John School
Supporter,” or “Proud St. John School Alumni” also

The Vacation Bible
School (VBS) Power Lab: The Science of God’s
Love for Us VBS will run from July 28th to August 1 from
6-8pm. Nightly registration, opening & closing portions
will be in the church sanctuary this year. This fun &
interactive program, designed for kids preschool (potty
trained & with a parent) through grade 4, shows kids how
God is with us each & every moment of the day! We are
still in need of some “scientists” (persons to lead)
snacks & an interactive DVD portion of the program as
well as “lab assistants” to lead kids from station to
station, help with registration & snacks, & assist the
scientists. If you are too old to attend, consider
sharing God’s love through volunteering to help! An
adult VBS will also be running concurrent to the regular
VBS each night. A planning meeting will be held on
Thursday, July 17th at 7pm in the social hall to
finalize plans. If you are leading a section, please
bring a list of supplies you will need to run your
