While Father Steve and Deacon Robers strive to be available at all times, personal and professional commitments may require them to be away from the parish and unavailable when an emergency arises.
If a sacramental or pastoral emergency arises, please call the parish number and follow the prompts for Fr. Steve's extension. If the pastor is not available, there is now an emergency extension option that leaves a message on the pastoral personal cell phone.
Please note: Due to current laws, hospitals no longer notify the pastor when someone is admitted to a hospital, and priest hospital chaplains no longer make the daily rounds at most hospitals. If you or a loved one is admitted, you must either let the pastor know by calling the parish number, or ask the nursing staff at the hospital to call the local priest "on call".
Father Steve and Deacon Robers are also available to offer spiritual direction and guidance to parishioners who may be going through difficulties in life. While we are not licensed counselors, and would refer psychological issues to outside counselors, we can offer specifically spiritual guidance, drawing from our Catholic faith, the Scriptures, the Saints, and our pastoral experience, as well as to pray with those afflicted.
Often, and ideally, a parishioner might receive both outside counseling as well as our pastoral spiritual direction simultaenously. All pastoral conversations are kept confidential, and meetings with either Deacon Robers or Fr. Steve can be arranged at your convenience by calling the parish office and asking to speak to them directly.
