Under the direction of Bishop Hartley in 1924, the parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church broke ground to make way for St. John School. The following year, the doors opened for the first 144 students.
Now, with more than 90 years of academic excellence, the school continues to serve the local community while providing students with a solid foundation in the Catholic faith and a quality education based on family values.

William V. Fisher Catholic High School continues to be known for its strong religious, academic, and extracurricular programs. A college preparatory extracurricular programs. A college preparatory curriculum offers an excellent education and numerous opportunities to grow and learn. Over 95% of graduating seniors go on to college or univerity level studies. An epmphasis on strong religious education, along with a permanent campus minister, regularly scheduled Masses, and social justice opportunities combine to maintain our strong Catholic identity.
The Irish athletic department offers 18 varsity sports, allowing many students an opportunity to particpiate. There are numberous extracurricular programs that include band, drama club, quiz team, debate team, foreign language clubs, Irish for life, worship team, student council, peer advocates and other clubs that enable the students to enrich their experience at Fisher Catholic High School.
Over the past 128 years, St. Mary, Bishop Fenwick, and Fisher Catholic have graduated 4,000 young men and women. Irish alumni are serving in the fields of business, law, education, health care, politics, the military, homemaking, entertainment, the arts, and in the Church as priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, and laypersons active in their parishes.
