The St. John Catholic Tuition Assistance Program (T.A.P.) works to provide tuition assistanc to families with children attending St. John Catholic School.
For 2017-2018 school year, T.A.P. assisted 16 families with a total of approximately $24,000.
For more information, contact President Al Klinger (740-503-1556).
Q: Do students need to attend St. John School before they can apply to use the funding for other schools (i.e. St. Mary School, Fisher Catholic High School)?
A: Parents who are members of St. John Church may apply for Tuition Assistance. It is primarily for use at St. John, but T.A.P. has helped parents with assistance at St. Mary's and Fisher Catholic.
Q: How can families apply?
A: Families interested in applying for tuition assistance must fill out an application with the St. John Principal, Andy Potter, in the spring. To apply, please contact Principal Andy Potter ([email protected]).
Q: How is assistance awarded?
A: The St. John School principal and the priest sort through the applications and make the determination of who gets assistance. Once decided, the priest and principal notify the T.A.P. Board the number of families and the total dollars received in T.A.P. assistance.
Q: How is the program funded?
A: T.A.P. is mainly funded through three annual fundraisers: a summer golf outing, a fall letter campaign, and a December Cookie Walk. Donatinos can also be made individually throughout the year.
Board members are elected each spring for a three-year term. The priest and school principal are always on the board. The Board meets once a year in the spring.
